A flawless movie. Amazing acting, music, costumes, cinematography.... it's an absolutely gorgeous film that happens to be a murder mystery. how awesome is that?

Perhaps less celebrated and well-remembered than the earlier Brabourne and Goodwin Christie adaptations beginning with Murder on the Orient Express in 1974, Evil Under the Sun is easily their equal and possibly even the best of them.

A favorite of mine from my childhood. Ustinov is great as usual as Poiroit, but what makes this film so much fun is everything else about it. Maggie Smith, Dianna Rigg, and James Mason make a TERRIFIC ensemble cast, with great fun witty diologue. Cole Porter soundtrack is fantastic, and the plot is quite smart. If you like murder mysteries, this is a must see.
