An amazing philosophical, and almsot stream-of-concsiousness look at the inner thoughts, isolation, and confusion of insanity... Or something. Unlike a fair amount of Hertzfeldt's other works, this isn't exactly a comedy. It's also much more story oriented than most. It is still darkly comic, but the concentration is on Bill's strange life, and the awesomely achieved magic-lantern-like photography. I dunno-- to reiterate: Tradional animation is not dead!

Don Hertzfeldt's Everything Will Be Ok is an unquestioned masterpiece of animated filmmaking. 17 minutes and dense as a brick of lead, it taps into an immense array of emotions, thoughts, and moods, successfully delivering a unique, pure, human experience. *4/4*

I love this movie, and the entire trilogy. It can be so hilarious, but it's also very deep and will really make you think about things. I really enjoyed the unusual animation, this is definitly one of my favorite animated films.

Blows "Rejected" out of the water. This film says more in its brief 17 minutes than most films say in a feature-running time. Follows the story of Bill, an animated character whose life and world are slowly turned upside-down and inside-out by the destructive powers of alienation and conformity. The above synopsis really doesn't do justice to how funny and how sad "Everything" is. The droll voice-over is perfect for the simultaneously hilarious and terrifying circumstances Bill finds himself in, and the visuals (both drawn and non-drawn) are brilliant, creating an uneasy mosaic of humor and anxiety. A gem.
