Probably the only musical I would ever consider giving 5 stars. Exquisite stuff from Allen's second funny phase - a highlight of his 1990s collection. The singing is terrible, but it was always meant to be, and it just adds to the charm of the piece. The final dance routine is just sublime, and that alone I could watch over and over again. The writing is as sharp as any of Woody's more conventional films. "I haven't been on a treadmill in weeks. 572 weeks, that's 11 years!"

Everyone Says I Love You is simply delightful. Woody Allen's decision to do a musical with a collection of respected actors who basically have no business singing was an inspired one. The characters are real people, not professional singers, so when they sing, they sound like real people. They sing because the emotions they're feeling can no longer be conveyed in simple dialogue (as it is with all musicals), and while a few of the actors prove themselves to be quite respectable singers (Edward Norton and Goldie Hawn in particular), most are merely passable, and the movie is all the more beautiful because of it. The musical selections are perfect, and each and every one slaps a huge grin across your face. It's nearly impossible not to fall in love with this film. Absolutely magical.

A romantic comedy musical about a rich neurotic new york family. An excellent cast. everyone has one movie that he or she can watch over and over again without getting bored. well, this is mine. has one of my favorite movie scenes of all time, the dance sequence between woody allen character and goldie hawn character. so magical. Bob: Frieda, this pasta doesn't have any sauce Frieda: It's Bavarian pasta, it doesn't need sauce. The Italians need sauce. The Italians were weak!
