The script emphasises the dangers, but fails to underscore that with a truly treacherous aesthetic environment.

Wow! Amazingly well done, the direction, cinematography & filming is just fantastic! I'm a fan of all things Everest & of course have read & seen "Into This Air", the Outdoor chronicles by Krakour (sp!), remember & kept up on all the news about this fateful journey. After seeing that this particular film (version) is based most on Beck Weather's' memoir, it's more understandable why he comes off so much better than in Krakour's accounts. (I always kind of held him most responsible for the tragedy, but Fisher & Hall did know better, & should have followed their better instincts.) The whole thing still makes me sad for losing Scott Fisher & (esp) Rob Hall, two of the most amazing climbers of our generation. The actors were all really good too. It definitely put you right there, engaged you, & didn't let go!

absolutely love this movie not knowing about the actual events that was based on made this movie even better for me truly enjoyable it always seems true stories seem to be the best
