If I saw this movie now I probably wouldn't give it so high a rating, but as I kid I thought Ernest was the coolest, and so it gets a four for notalgia factor.

Varney's ability to become his Character is reminiscent of a young Brando or Orson Wells. Its unfortunate that we lost him before he had a chance to direct. Farewell glorious setting sun, you were taken from us all too soon.
