The tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. A decent decent movie the harks back to the classic 90's formula. Great characters, oodles of 'broken family' cheesyness and some killer songs. Great as it was, i never felt knocked off my feet but happily taken away by it all. Looks incredible on 4k dolby vision.

I really enjoyed for the most part what this animated movie had to offer. There were not any real villains in it which made it stand out more from your standard Disney movies. The jokes and most of the songs in my opinion weren't their strongest point. The strongest point in this movie for me was the story, ending and the moral of everything this movie made. I gotta admit there was a scene that got me really emotional and it lasted for like 3 minutes but was done so nicely and it had such a great message behind it that I gotta say that this is one of the best animated movies in the year. Definitely a must watch.

Nice colours and animation details. Plot not quite, but fun though for a Sunday afternoon.

Similar to how Pixar’s Coco paid tribute to Mexican culture, Encanto holds many nods to its Colombian roots, from the use of flowers and animals specific to the regions to crafting songs that incorporated their respective countries’ musical palette.

This movie is currently my favorite all time. Dos Orogitas makes me cry every time. I love the message of admitting mistakes and improving your family and not accepting generational trauma as unchangeable. Antonio and Luisa are my favorite characters. I like very character.
