Films about any serious topic should only be made by filmmakers who have lived them. This is what Vincent Sabella has done using his own life experience. Such a beautiful accurate betrayal! Google Vincent Sabella and read hi personal story In the Hollywood Reporter. It Is what made me go to see Elizabeth Blue. I hope he takes home enough awards to fill a room. Anna Schafer is riveting in her performance that leaves you breathless. Go see this film! Also I never write reviews but this left me speechless, oh and my girlfriend dragged me to see it!... HaHa. Greetings from Austin. Job brilliantly done!

Really enjoyed the movie!!! Anyone who has a family member or close friend with a Mental Health issue can relate to this movie- and learn from the movie. So often we fail to see that individuals with mental health issues are trying their best to cope with their situation. Anna Schafer played the roll as Elizabeth brilliantly!! I saw the movie yesterday and I have already recommended to many of my friends.

I saw this film in Los Angeles last Monday. I took my sister to see it again with me when I was visiting her in San Fran. It hit me harder the second time around and my sister could not speak. Our mother committed suicide due to Schizophrenia. This portrayle is so accurate I have no words. The passion on the screen is felt under your skin. This NEEDS to be this years Moonlight, and if the director of La La Land can win for a film that was ridiculously over hyped, painful to watch. With Emma Stone screeching lyrics like a dead cat. Their is no reason this filmmaker and lead actress should not walk away with GOLD! Luckily I am a DGA member. Go see Vincent Sabella's Elizabeth Blue. I hope by some miracle this gets seen by voters!

Artfully crafted, visceral, and poignant. Elizabeth Blue combines the very real life struggle of mental illness with high art to create a film that allows a catharsis for those who have been diagnosed with mental illness, and gives understanding to those who have not. As someone who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at 17, this film helped me gain some much needed self acceptance, and even pride, in who I am. Thank You to Vincent Saballo for being brave enough to delvinto something so difficult and so personal. Maybe this will help fight the stigma. Maybe it already is. And hopefully other talented directors with personal experience will follow Vincent's lead to fight the stigma.
