Peter Winter is a young schizophrenic who is desperately trying to get his daughter back from her adoptive family. He attempts to function in a world that, for him, is filled with strange voices, electrical noise, disconcerting images, and jarringly sudden emotional shifts. A shocking and disturbing portrayal of schizophrenia, this film is at worst difficult to penetrate and at best haunting and moving. The film offers practically no answers to the many questions posed and shows the wear of a director running out of money, but maintains its persistent, intense grasp throughout.

The cop feels bad for shooting Peter Greene because it turns out he didn't kill anybody (probably?), but Greene also pulled a gun on him, so it's all cool. Spoilers.

Harrowing, captivating film that puts you into the mind of a schizophrenic as he is followed by a detective investigating him for serial killing. This film makes you uncomfortable with its brutal realism. Peter Greene's (Zed from Pulp Fiction) best performance - what an amazing actor this guy was before he became an addict. He could have been big. A real shame.
