New man in town Kenny Williams has just accepted a position as an English professor at the Three Nations Reservation in Utah. Finding it hard to fit in with the tight-knit Native American community, he decides to take on the challenge of coaching the high school girls' basketball team.

One of a multitude of inspirational sports films over the last five years, most are based on fact, and oddly enough all have just about the same plot. This one is a tad better than most, because it is simpler and more straight forward. The Native American cast is a plus as well.

Based on True story, Its excellent depiction of reality people face. Loved the movie though not one of the best Basketball movie for me.

A black man goes to the Three Nations Indian Reservation to teach English and is soon given the girls basketball coaching job. The team is in bad shape and a non Indian coaching really makes for lots of conflicts and problems. Great sports movie, realistic and fun to watch. Based on a true story.
