Drifting Flowers (2008)

Three poetic tales of seeking the true identity. In the first story, Jing, a blind singer, falls in love with her band's tomboy accordionist Diego. In another time and place, Lily, an elderly lesbian and Yen, her gay friend, create an unexpected bond and support each other in a time of crisis. Finally, we see Diego before she joined the band, when as a teenager she came to grips with her gender identity.

It can be better. At least I think it is better than Spiderlilies. A bit boring at times.

Love the stories. I think the most sadest part is the middle story when Lily mistaken her gay husband as her long dead girlfriend, Ocean.

A nicely constructed and beautiful episodic film about the destinies of ordinary people. The stories are connected in an interesting way...

Nicely constructed narrative that tells three separate but interlocking tales about lesbian women coming to terms with who they are, the loses they've suffered and sacrifices they make for happiness. Well worth a rental.
