Whereas the first Phibes-film excelled at pitch-black humour, the follow-up tends to aim for laughs primarily.

Part two, a bit more far fetched but with even more imaginative sets.

Phibes does indeed rise again to make his way to Egypt in an attempt to resurrect his wife, anyone getting in his way will be creatively eliminated. Vincent Price along with Robert Quarry (Count Yorga) star along with a special appearance by Peter Cushing. A worthy sequel.

This movie was good, great verry close to as good as the first, but who would want to put anything higher than meeting Dr Phibes. Any one who speaks through a horn, and feeds through the back of there neck is cool. These movies are great. Now after he advinged the death of his dear wife, he travels to Egypt to bring her back to life. And the best part is he brings his macanical band with him.. and his organ of corse. Oh ya and in the end you get to hear the theam song to "The Wizzard of Oz". If you liked part one, I sugest you check this movie out. I heard through some coworkers that there is a part three to it all? Have not found it yet, but when I do, Im so sitting down and watching it. These are great movies.

A lively, spirited sequel to The Abominable Dr Phibes, which misses the Se7en-like rigour of a plot structured around the Plagues of Egypt but still manages to come up with a succession of gruesome, black comic death scenes.
