This is one of the most fun times you will have in the movies this summer. Dope is a coming of age comedy about high school geeks who accidentally end up with several bricks of Molly and have to sell it as fast as possible. They are outcasts at school 2 of them 90s hip hop aficionados one a lesbian, but the teens find their own way of being dope (cool). It's a movie you will laugh at and want to watch again and Again. 5/5 stars

great story of a drug deal going wrong and cali lifestyle for a young hood dude thats very intelligent cool to watch and funny as hell!

Looked like a random weird movie on Netflix, but this film turned out to be exceptional. I don't think I've ever reviewed a movie on here over the past 6 years I have used flixster, but this movie was that good. Great original story and I had no idea what to expect going in. Suspense at every minute even though you know the main character will get away unscathed. Reminded me of 21 except a better version. Don't even know how to organize this review. Overall a must watch when you're looking to kill time at home.

Stylish, expressive, and original! Most of all, it had a message that society needs to hear. It deals with the complicated decisions today's more enlighten and educated youth deals with, when growing up in a crime ridden neighborhood, and of poor socioeconomic status. It's pays homage to the styles and music of the 90's while seamlessly blending the energy of today's young people. I loved this movie! Leave the kids at home as it is a bit raunchy oat times. DONT WAIT FOR THE DVD RELEASE, GO SEE IT NOW!! You won't regret it.

great movie..and great performance from these up and comers...90s music soundtrack is on point.. this definitely gave me nostalgia..to the easier days, when all you needed was a backpack, cd player, and nice big headphones...
