Dixiana (1930)

A circus performer falls in love with the son of a plantation owner in antebellum New Orleans. When the young man's stepmother objects to the wedding, the couple break apart and go their separate ways for a time. Also in the mix are two circus comics who feud over the heart of another Southern belle.

Dixiana's writing is poor, story and jokes alike. It has absolutely no sense of pacing between the comedic, dramatic and musical sequences. The musical numbers are mediocre and not always fitting. The actors go through the motions, eagerly awaiting the film's end, and lastly, across the board, the accents are just painful. One of the worst movie musicals EVER.
