Great movie. Pretty awesome pastiche/neo-noir.

Denzel is good, but Don Cheadle is a bad ass MOFO! Far from a classic, but still not too shabby!

The movie to watch. I am a big fan of mystery and crime movies. Denzel played Easy Rawlins just like in the other Walter Mosely mysteries. Don Cheadle was a trip and portrayed mouse like no other. Everytime I read an Easy Rawlins Mystery, I could only see Denzel and Don playing those characters with ease. They need to make more Movies for Walter Mosely's mystery Novels.

Very decent movie portraying African-American life in LA in the mid 20th century. The seedier aspects of Black life and the prejudice freely expressed by White society ring true. Definitely worth seeing.
