Authenticity and effective cinematography does not help if there is no soul and a likeable protagonist.

No, it's no Sherlock. And thankfully, it doesn't try to imitate the characters. What it is is a real keeper. A detective noir with Hitchcockian undertones. We definitely need to see more of such stuff and more of Neeraj Kabi in Hindi films. What a prolific performance!
