Low budget but def a classic of its kind A cop and others are trapped in a toy werehouse with killer toys as a demon wants to be reborn kills them to make itself stronger. Acting is well done and the directions sets the low budget scene well but I personailty thought Baby Oppsy Dasiy was a hoot till they trashed him in the seuqels with different voice actors that never matched the 1st one. Ends decently as well.

oh how bad was this? i wanted everyone to die within half an hour just so the film would be over this was bad and not in the so bad it's good type of low budget film

An evil spirit that was, for whatever reason, living in a toy storage warehouse is awakened somehow by some guy - that's about what I got out of the premise. Anyway the demon takes the form a child, why not, and uses some creepy-looking toys to kill a bunch of boring people who all happened to come together at this warehouse on the same night. The acting is flat and there is no sign of an interesting plot, just a rehash of the same-old "toys coming to life theme" (yes there are a lot of movies like this). The biggest problem is that the entire movie takes place in one location. That can sometimes work, but only if you pick the right location - this is 90 minutes in a box factory!

Yes its totally stupid and not in the least bit scary, I dunno why its referred to as a horror, but this cult is highly enjoyable with its basic charming effects. Of course its ridiculous and has a high trash content with strong levels of cheese but with a film about killer dolls what do you expect, its much more of a light-hearted horror comedy. The main swing here is the dolls of course, a killer teddy bear, a baby doll, a robot and a jack in the box, all of which actually look kinda cool, not scary, more eerie and bizarre, think killers Muppets. The sequences where the dolls attack are pretty amusing and the highlight of the film, with their limited movements and funny voice work its hard not to enjoy despite how silly it is watching a grown adult thrash around as he's being attacked by a psychotic Fozzie the Bear. The whole concept is hard to pull off but its an interesting one, toys coming alive. Much like 'Toy story' and 'The Twilight Zone' its a fun route to explore, plus the dolls are all well designed and crafted with obvious care and attention.

This movie was nowhere as good as I remember it...but still it was quite entertaining. The Oopsy Daisy doll was hilarious, and the clown jack in the box was creepy, but the other toys weren't as good. The whole concept of demons taking over toys out of necessity is kind of cool. It spawned many movies afterwards...Dollman vs. Demonic Toys was cool.
