I wasn't expecting much except to see Lee Van Cleef play a tough guy killing people. This actually ended up being pretty good. Most of the movie is carried on Van Cleef's shoulders, but there are some good performances by recognizable supporting actors, and Law does pretty good in a vengeance-driven role that could have been quite cheesy. He's attempting to channel Clint (even down to some of the outfits), but doesn't quite do that. The Ennio Morricone soundtrack has some recycled elements from other movies, but I think some was original for this movie. Even recycled Morricone is good stuff, though. There is a pretty good twist to the relationship of the two protagonists, though it's something you pretty much see coming from the very beginning, but it's fun to anticipate it coming. The final battle (original in that it takes place during a near-blinding dust storm) and following two-man showdown was worth the wait.

One of Lee Van Cleef's finest spaghetti westerns, from which "Kill Bill, Vol. 1" pulls several moments AND a damn good theme song!

Another one that QT likes to rip of even uses the score in Kill Bill vol1. still that only means that this is AMAZING!

All the cliches in the book! At least the gin fighters reloaded a few times! Anyway, fun to watch.
