Deadfall Trail (2009)

John, Julian and Paul enter the Kaibab National Forest for a three-week survival trip and peyote vision quest. The only items they take with them are a knife, a bottle of water and a garbage bag each. A week into their journey a disastrous turn of events changes everything and the men are forced to ultimately confront the darkest corners of their morality and mortality. Battling the elements and each other, the quest becomes to make it out of the forest alive.

God damn this movie is so fuckin swag. The plot is great and its really deep and meaningful. My favorite character is Slade he's so awesome OH GODDAMN THIS MOVIE IS SO FUCKING FANTASTIC I WANT TO WATCH IT EVERYDAY HOOOOOLY SHIT I LOST BELIEF IN GOD BECAUSE OF THIS MOVIE BUT IN A GOOD WAY i was terrifed and didn't sleep for 5 weeks but it was so good i recomend it for all

It's man on man on man vs. nature in the great outdoors. A duo of class act trail survivors take a young guy on an strictly back-to-nature expedition and proceed to make a bunch of dumb decisions resulting in a bad time. The acting isn't too bad but then again the characters are all two-dimensional. You can't really say the young man learns and grows much beyond picking up a few survival tricks. You'd think the group would have brought more water with them on the trip. If anything, let it be a precautionary tale: if you're going to go hiking in hundreds of miles of wilderness, bring smart things like a magnifying glass, flare gun, medical kit, radio, food and water. And don't go if one of the people you're going with seems like an unhinged maniac. 2/5.

bored...bored..bored. not creepy at all... its not a horror film, its a wanna be horror film. expect an adventure movie with a lot of survivor elements. not enough...

I definitely think this movie at least deserves a watch if you like suspense and good atmosphere. The movie itself doesn't really go very far but there are some shocking scenes that are a nice change to the plot.
