Not a bad 80's/early 90's era style action and violence from a 2013 western. A few minor gripes about casting and dialog and effects,but all in all this wasn't a waste of time. Anthony Michael Hall made a pretty decent bad guy and Mickey Rourke is above this kinda role but needs money I guess. Dina Meyer needs to be in more movies and I haven't seen her since her starship trooper days. Danny Trejo who is sorta now identified with Machete only now, does a great job in this as the hero. His dialog is pretty terrible, but you don't watch these movies to hear him try to spout poetry or try to win an oscar either.

I seriously reckon a group of school kids could have made a better fist of the editing in the final "action" sequences. All the main actors just sleepwalked their way through the film. Generally unmemorable. If you want to waste 95 minutes of your life, this is the film for you.

Straight-to-video for a reason. There's nothing here that hasn't been done before, except that this time it has Danny Trejo doing it. I hope this is the flop and Machete Kills cracks me up again.

I was expecting a all out action flick with this one with a western flavor to it. Unfortunately it did not pass the test. Like the plot of the movie the main Character played by Danny Trejo makes a deal with the devil and has to deliver and this movie came up short. It felt like i was watching a b grade version of Red Dead Redemption maybe this films plot line would have been better in a video game. Danny Trejo played his role with the same hard nosed grit he plays all his action flicks. Mickey Rourke as always stole the show as the devil himself. Danny and Mickey and were the glue that held the movie together. A honorable mention i would have to say goes to the female lead in the movie played by Dina Meyer. All in all a B grade Western and something not suitable for the kiddies.

Great cinematography, but not much else. Michael Rourke looks to have gained 100 pounds and had trouble holding his eyes open. Anthony Michael Hall always makes the best of what he is given and Danny Trejo is a Hispanic Arnold schwarzenegger. The plot is ridiculous.
