A western in a different landscape. Instead of dry desert vistas the scenery is covered knee-deep in snow. Actually a bit boring but the grueling last third of the story makes it worth watching.

Very subdued as Westerns go, but it does stand-out from the hundreds of generic movies from this genre because of this style.

Unusual western set in the stunningly snowbound Wyoming. Has more the feel of a made-for-tv movie than a studio effort - but it's still a brooding tale with a fairly bleak third act where both main protagonists (Ives and Ryan) find redemption.

I sometimes forget how good Robert Ryan was. This is an intriguing little western, with a dynamite set-up and a great speech by Ryan early in the film. Unfortunately it doesn't keep the momentum that the story gives it early, but it's still a heck of a film. And, Ginger from Gilligan's Island is in it. HOT!
