Like the first "Dr Who" movie, there isn't much of a similarity between this and the BBC show... though this one suffers more from that problem. Enjoyable low-budget sci-fi cheese, with a couple interesting effects (the Dalek spaceship is pretty cool); but on the whole, it's played too often for laughs, and the impact is lost.

Brilliant Peter Cushing returns - this time with the voice of the wombles, Bernard Cribbins. Love the scene where the old women betray our heroes for a package of dalek fruit.

Almost the perfect combination of Hammer horror meets Doctor Who, this sequel loses most of the camp of the first and introduces nicely dark bits. The highlight is Philip Madoc's immoral spiv, and his death scene is a corker.

Fast moving film adaption with Peter Cushing in the title role ably supported by a cast featuring Bernard Cribbins and Ray Brookes. Though cheaply made to cash in to the 60s Dalek fad, this film moves a pace and doesn't out stay it's welcome, invoking a warm feeling of nostalgia, drawing the audience back to the Sixties even as the action heads for 2150.

Cushing's a bit crap as the Doctor, and this isn't perfect, but it's still bloody good saturday afternoon fun. And so many Daleks in colour! Will always be a favourite if only for sentimental reasons, I loved this SO MUCH as a kid. One of the few sequels better than the original.
