I love any sleuthy movies I found this one to be well shot and a good story. A nice movie I'll watch more from this director.

Hypnotizing and possibly one of the creepiest films ever made. Lots of questions are left unanswered and the film is extremely slow but it works at its advantage and becomes a completely unique experience.

A series of identical murders are committed by different people all over Tokyo. The murderers have nothing in common. The victims have nothing in common. A detective's investigation leads to a mysterious man who has an unusual hold on other people's minds. Oblique, suggestive, disturbing--with an ending that makes you wonder "Did I just see that?"

An interesting and entertaining movie but the end threw me for a loop and I'm still not sure I completely understand what happened, but that's typical of a Kurosawa ending.
