This all sounds didactic and silly. It is. It's also highly watchable, and simultaneously complex, simple-minded, and deferential to the audience's base level of intelligence.

reminds a lot about Crash, Babel and other similar movies but it still stands out as an accomplishment of its own for telling the same theme about immigration in US by bringing different perspectives and touching different buttons. In fact it may have outperformed Crash, its over-dramatized counterpart, for being more transparent in its more realistic take on the same issue. Cast performance was great. I am particularly impressed by Summer Bishil's performance, which so powerful that only A-list actresses can pull off the same feat. She is amazing for someone of her age and she has great potential to be a great actress for the next generation.

Good movie goes unnoticed. Crossing Over was only released on selected cinemas for not so much entertaining or your regular movie. This is an educational movie. I thought the movie is a great learning experience for people who are relates to this movie. These sorts of things are happening on a daily basis and we dont care to think so much but when you see it in this movie, you realize how painful the stories are and what people do to become legalized in USA, after all its a land of opportunity and chance to have better life. I recommend everyone to watch this movie. The whole cast are A+ but the one who stands out the most to me is Summer Bishil who plays Taslima Jahangir. Mind Blowing performance, Jim Sturgess is 2nd on line. The movie is a bit slow paced but it gets interesting after 5 minutes of the start. MUST WATCH.

I absolutely loved this movie. Yes, it is Hollywood's attempt to make us feel sorry for illegal aliens. No, it did not change my feelings for them in any way (except to show that we need to increase our budget for immigration enforcement). If you liked Crash, and I did, this movie is Crash meets the INS. Definitely worth watching.
