Good depiction of the cost of trying to adapt to the american lifestyle.. while holding on to your culture. Cliff Curtis & Harrison ford were good in this movie. Ray Liotta got locked up for being a player & a pimp..& the girl traded him for her freedom.. thats messed up.. lol.

I thought this movie was absolutely wonderful and worthy of Oscar note. I think the critics were way off base on this. The acting was superb and the stories heartbreaking. I found it many times more important and interesting than "Crash" and the subject matter infinitely more important than stories about movie directors and executives.

Good movie goes unnoticed. Crossing Over was only released on selected cinemas for not so much entertaining or your regular movie. This is an educational movie. I thought the movie is a great learning experience for people who are relates to this movie. These sorts of things are happening on a daily basis and we dont care to think so much but when you see it in this movie, you realize how painful the stories are and what people do to become legalized in USA, after all its a land of opportunity and chance to have better life. I recommend everyone to watch this movie. The whole cast are A+ but the one who stands out the most to me is Summer Bishil who plays Taslima Jahangir. Mind Blowing performance, Jim Sturgess is 2nd on line. The movie is a bit slow paced but it gets interesting after 5 minutes of the start. MUST WATCH.

This movie was a hardcore drama, there were not light happy sees as far as i can remember....it was tho imo a good movie. Really powerful and somewhat moving, and it really showcases in my opinion the somewhat corrupt immigration services of the USA, and at the same time how important it is for ppl to become US citizens, I liked it, but its def not for everyone.

An outstanding gutsy, and raw film, that would not be intimidated and coerced by the politically correct morons, and tells a great story. I watched this movie with three dear friends who had all immigrated to the US legally. One of them had to fight for 20 years to get her citizenship, and they all loved this movie. The critics of this film would all have/force us to believe that every illegal immigrant to the US is Mother Teresa, Gandhi, and Jesus Christ, rolled into one. Instead this gritty movie tells multiple stories that are intriguing and fascinating. Ashley Judd looks fantastic as well. My only negative review is the situation Harrison Ford is written into as the single police officer, that goes home alone to a depressing little apartment. Writers, do you think you can come up with something fresh? That's been over done since the Dirty Harry days.
