Its alright. I love the setting and that it is based on a true story. I also love the part where she begins to realize that the place in which she escaped to write about something entirely different actually became the place in itself far richer to write about.

Martin Ritt's chronicle of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings is not particularly illuminating of the writer's life, but it's well acted by Mary Steenburgen and especially Alfre Woodard.
