well umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch...its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that groucho marx plays a good part throughout this movie...i think that carmen miranda was good as the singer...i think that this is a good 1940's movie 2 watch..i think that the director of this Documentary, Classics movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie..its an enjoyable movie 2 watch n its got some good dancing scenes throughout this movie

I really enjoyed this movie, it was so very funny, I especially loved Groucho's number. The story is good and the some of the songs are good too, but mostly it's very funny. Only Groucho is in it, though, don't expect the other Marx Brothers. Overall a good movie, very fun.

However, hardcore Marxists already know that, as Groucho's first solo film appearance, 1947's Copacabana was a once-over-slightly effort that the Master himself dismissed before the cameras even rolled.

A waste of two talent greats. After the Marx Brothers peaked, it seemed the only plot line anyone had for Groucho was to be in desperate need of money. They pair him up with Carmen Miranda in this one as her two bit manager and fiance. Unfortunately this is one of several pics Groucho did where he was a sheister or needing money or desperately trying to trick someone..it's a limp role after being the fast, witty guy no one could keep up with. Lackluster scripts and his roles as either a guy on the run or broke completely goes against the grain of what he was born to be. Good thing his quiz show was right around the corner.

It had allot of potential but it didnt work, to much music. You even hear a 5 minute song twice. Groucho's one liners where not that funny but the story was pretty good which made it amusing, like the whole movie not hillarious nor funny but amusing
