Ultimately, Stante’s raw energy and sure hand with actors are more encouraging than the screenplay’s lack of depth is bothersome.

Consequences thrums with a vibrant current — propelled by a dizzying churn of cigarettes, cocaine, fistfights, and shirtless young men — until arriving at its predictably explosive conclusion. The film’s perspective may be austere, but its heart is defiantly exuberant.

The Consequences here are a movie that’s more intriguing than arresting, and not harrowing enough to be the most convincing recreation of the real thing.

Good film. Not sure why critics have given low scores. Good script, actors are good. Similar to American film dog pound after youth detention. Recommend.
