This is a great revisit for all the cast of the original Coming to America!!! After reading everyones reviews I got worried. What has happened to this world and why are people so harsh these days. This movie is soft hearted, great energy, fun acting and you can see everyone had such a good time making it. I personaly loved it and great follow up to the 1st movie. If your a person with no sence of the word "fun" in your life then those are the low reviews. If your someone who watched the first movie and are a fan of all these fantasic actors then this is a great movie!!! Really fun story that takes you away from the reality we are all living in these days.

This movie is nothing but a flashback reunion film, not a sequel same story different person, only interesting part for me was the introduction of Izzie’s daughter.

Those who adore the original, however, will feel like they’ve been revisited by an old friend, or perhaps the dirty uncle, whose jokes are a bit frayed but still pointed enough. Produced at a time when big, brash studio comedies rarely crack the zeitgeist, Coming 2 America works far better than the market standard, in part because it does right by its roots.

Murphy is committed, bringing back the same low-key charm he showcased in the original, while also undercutting Akeem by showing how he has come to represent the repressive Zamundan traditions he once rebelled against.

Coming to America 9/10. Coming 2 America 3/10. It's a pity for Paramount Pictures, since 1988 they have been greatly degraded.
