Clara's Heart (1988)

David is a teenager whose parents are in a deteriorating marriage after their infant daughter dies. Clara is a chambermaid at a Jamaican resort who's hired to be a housekeeper. She and David develop a close bond, opening his eyes and heart to new experiences, and eventually leading to a disturbing secret in Clara's past.

There is something repulsive and manipulative about it, and even its best scenes have the flavor of a kid in the school yard, trying to show you pictures you don't feel like looking at.

I also want to thank you fellas; you taught me a valuable lesson in life. LUUUULAAAAA!". Crazy and surreal with a tense performance from Willem Dafoe, but also mystic. Nicolas Cage singing "Love Me Tender" to Laura Dern was beautiful.

It isn't a good movie at all. A cliché end and lack of cohesion. But it doesn't prevent me to enjoy watching it.
