I love christmas movies, especially adaptations of this classic story and what I always loved about this version is the fact that after he's a reformed man (or on the road to being) he see's his former sweetheart. Plus I love the song by Kate Winslet it may be cheesy but it's just so sweet.

Sleep-inducing, and when I I can't even find a word of praise for Kate Winslet, it's clear something is very wrong! Although the animation is very pretty, it makes the film look about thirty years old, and ultimately, it's a completely pointless adaptation.

A decent rendering of the Dickens classic with an all star cast of voices Horrocks, Gambon, Cage, Winslet.. and some wonderful animation from a Korean studio. The animation techniques allow the horror of the Scrooge dream sequences to come alive for the viewer with peeling skulls and disintegrating skeletons. Even Nicholas Cage can't stink this one out but Winslet's bizarre theme tune rivals her Oscar speech for moments we could have done without. Top work.
