While not the most comprehensive telling of the classic Dickens Tale, this short but sweet version is a lot of fun. Casting Uncle Scrooge as Ebenezer Scrooge is a natural and Alan Young does a great job voicing him in such a way that he both stays true to the role yet makes him very comic as well. The other classic characters are well cast as well including Goofy suprisingly cast as a bumbling version of the Ghost of Jacob Marley. All in all, classic Disney fun from beggining to end.

Walt Disney cartoon based on the Dickens classic seasonal story is really great fun and spooky. And Mickey is surrounded by a very famous supporting cast, which includes Donald Duck, Goofy and Jiminy Cricket among others.

Watched on 12/24/08. The movie that continues to save Christmas year after year. Some of my earliest memories are of this movie, it remains a mandatory must see every holiday season for me. Nostalgia aside, this short animated film touches on the poignant and dark themes of the Dickens' Classic while reataining the playful charm of Disney. Special Recognition should go to Frederick Searles and Irwin Kostal for the song "Oh, What a Merry Christmas Day" an over looked classic in my mind. I still love this short as much as i did 20 years ago...wierd...
