Tired of scaring humans every October 31 with the same old bag of tricks, Jack Skellington, the spindly king of Halloween Town, kidnaps Santa Claus and plans to deliver shrunken heads and other ghoulish gifts to children on Christmas morning. Great twist on seeing beyond the superficial. A modern classic.

This film is a fantastic classic and is an essential to watch every Halloween and Christmas. It's clear from every scene and song that expert attention to detail and a great amount of passion went into this film. The songs are fantastic and catchy when they need to be, but quiet and subtle at other points when it was important. The film has a powerful message and should be given the full credit for what a lovely work it is.

Absolutely one of the most imaginative, colorful, musical creations in film ever made. Not in just animation but in cinema itself. Tim Burton has an imagination, that is emotional, visually stunning, awe-inspiring style. Despite this not exactly being a Tim Burton DIRECTED movie, this is Tim Burton's original story, Tim Burton's characters, this movie is the definition of the term Burton-esque. It's as Tim Burton as Tim Burton could get. (except there is no Johnny Depp or Helena Bottom Carter in this movie though)
