Mary Henry ends up the sole survivor of a fatal car accident through mysterious circumstances. Trying to put the incident behind her, she moves to Utah and takes a job as a church organist. But her fresh start is interrupted by visions of a fiendish man. As the visions begin to occur more frequently, Mary finds herself drawn to the deserted carnival on the outskirts of town. The strangely alluring carnival may hold the secret to her tragic past.

Best horror movie ever, scared the fuck out of me, the bus part just scarred me for life. this movie, along with the shining, is the reason i sleep with a crowbar and a dog by my bed.

A slow moving, atmospheric, low budget horror. The plain settings are draped with black and white, the ghosts are actors with simple white and black face paint and instead of jump scares the film relies on its score to carry its chilling mood. So if you're a fan of horror movies from the year 2000 and up you'll hate this because there's no CGI rollercoasters, over-conceptualized monsters, or jump scares. This film was made at a time when people who cared about the horror genre did it out of love and care.

Amazing! this movie is a must see for anyone who enjoys good holsome horror movies. i could watch it over and over again. Favorite line "well i'm no psychiotrist" LMFAO!

Chilling, memorable, and remarkably macabre. This is one of my favorite horror classics, and deserves far more credit than it gains. The film's most famous organ-playing sequence is both eerie and artful, and will haunt you long after the ghost-story nature of the reveal.

Great thriller Movie!!! I guess this is one of the few movies that use church organ underscoring in the early days. Unique style to introduce the demon theme and scene transition. Great montage at the very end where Mary walks back to the pavillion and demon chasing sequence. Mise-En-Scene make-up can be quite shocking sometimes LOL
