Great thrilling movie! There's tension between the public and the movie the whole time.There's shock, thrill, blood, and love, what more can I ask for? Ricardo DarÃÂn was fantastic as always.

Perhaps the fall-spring relationship doesn't quite work but Carrancho is an interesting character sketch of a horrid character. How far will he go to profit at his trade?

A film that slowly, slowly ekes out more in its story and admirably develops unexpectedly making it compelling for 2/3s of the running time. Unfortuantely, this development is more like a descent into unpleasantness. Characters become desperate, all hope fades and the director obviously indulges in making the viewer wince by constructing even more graphic scenes than the last. It made me feel cold at the end and I didn't like the hip style that the production brought to the drama. Out of place. Still, well-acted by Darin and Martina Gusman.
