A strong start that, by the final act, becomes derailed from flow and becomes a jokey dramatic mess.

The Misfits are in this!....other than that, this is a fairly boring and bland film. I will admit that the mask is fairly creepy though.

George A. Romero's "Bruiser" plays out like it could have been his installment for a "Masters of Horror" episode. It is one of his weaker films - there's nothing profound here despite a few spooky visuals. I'm not saying that horror always has to be profound, but that's what I've come to appreciate most about many of Romero's previous efforts in addition to his stylish direction. He manages to make a relevant statement within his horror that's unique and refreshing, and he makes it look cool in the process. "Bruiser," on the other hand, just feels uninspired and tedious.

a very dark and violent film. a story about a man who gets no respect from anyone. the main characters wife is cheating on him with his boss, his coworkers don't like him, he just lives a terrible life. he wakes up one morning saying i need to make a change and he does it in very unimaginable ways.

Okay, since this is one of Romero's earlier films, it's okay...it was better than Martin. I can see why he stuck to making zombie movies. But I'm wondering if how the mask got on and off his face, was something symbolical of the mask we wear for other people each day?
