A sleepy fishing port town is consumed with terror when a small crater crash-lands nearby and releases a slimy parasitic agent that transforms the residents into brain-eating zombies. Ugh, so boring I almost fell asleep. While i'll praise it for it's interesting kills and it's wonderful nudity, the rest falls flat. The acting was terrible, but not in the way that's so bad it's good.....just bad. Peter Jackson's Brain Dead is much better and i'd reccomend that before this.

This is appropriately titled. Everyone in the cast is pretty much brain dead. The acting is non existent. The storyline is pretty flimsy. Nothing is really explained and it is about two zombies in total. The gore is there and it is pretty good for a B-movie so I added a star for that but otherwise, this film should have stayed in the reject can.

Well worth checking out if you enjoy over the top gory comedy splatter. Although the story is as original as the title (Don't get this mixed up with Peter Jacksons Superior Brain Dead or the other psychological thriller) It does hold it's own and is well acted- great effects and moves along at a fast pace- never taking itself too seriously. Check it out- you'll love it if you enjoyed ROTLD etc.

A tongue-in-cheek horror comedy that's ok. I mean it's hard to go wrong with brain-eating slugs and naked women, but Brain Dead tries by virtue of not having a clear idea of what it wants to be. The stereotypical characters grow tired quickly and hamstring the story from reaching its potential. The beginning and ending sequences really make it a better film overall than it deserves to be.
