Bone Tomahawk (2015)

During a shootout in a saloon, Sheriff Hunt injures a suspicious stranger. The doctor's assistant, wife of the local foreman, tends to him in prison. That night, the town is attacked and they both disappear—only the arrow of a cannibal tribe is found. Hunt and a few of his men go in search of the prisoner and the foreman's wife.

Extremely well-crafted movie, perfomances are impeccable especially of Richard Jenkins, atmosphere is absolutely splendid and horrifying. I wish they produced more movies like this.

Probably the best western since The Unforgiven and Tombstone. Brutal, horrific and beautiful to look at. What an amazing movie.

A beautiful slow burn worth every moment! It's a western horror film and they mix both perfectly. The best horror films make you care about the people first before the get into the meat of things, and this movie does just that. Then it shows you the REAL wild west and the real dangers of just taking a 3 day trek. The villians in this are terrifying and ruthless. You love when one is taken down. (when and if they can go down) And the gore is hyper real and disgusting but completely effective. It's gross but works. You fear for the heroes and at the same time want them to get some justice. Great film and EVERYONE in it is fantastic. I'm very excited to see this director's next work. I believe this is his first outting and he hit it out of the park!

LOVED THIS. What a great film. MUCH better than the overrated and mediocre THE HATEFUL EIGHT. Kurt Russell is terrific. The writing is sharp and the dialogue is excellent. The first exchange between Kurt Russell and David Arquette is brilliant. A unique and worthy film.
