As horror movies go, Boarding School is worth seeing simply because it’s different. Not weird, off-the-wall different like mother! or Hereditary, but different in a good way.

Not a Horror "per se" and if you take it like that it is an interesting story that pays off at the end.

Writer-director Boaz Yakin, who has directed everything from veteran movie stars to canine thesps in his career, has a harder time with child actors, eliciting performances that are uneven enough to attract attention to the script's weaker aspects.

I wil say this movie have it up and down especially the plot direction. However the storyline is great also those kid actor and actress did well in the movie. A mind blowing climax when jacob found out that dr. Sherman was not him and also his acquantance. I think the director want to mix up between a horror and psycho genre into the movie. If im jacob I will either be a gud excecutioner or the bad one. The ending is acceptable for me. I will say this is one of the best movie I have watched so far. Maybe because I love the mix of the genres in the movie. I also quite shock when I know the potrayed Phil in the movie is actually played by a girl not a boy. Im recommend this movie.

I liked this movie. Its redeeming feature is the excellent performance by its lead, Luke Prael, and the script has very few, if any plot holes. So, this is about 12 year old boy who gets send away to boarding school because his mother can't stand him screaming every night because he has nightmares. (Indeed, mother of the year she ain't). It's a tiny boarding school of just 7 pupils, including Christine, the daughter of his stepfathers boss. They immediately notice that there's something amiss at this school..... What I liked about this movie is the intelligent script. The victims lack their usual, highly annoying stupidity, of trusting the perp too much, to the point of stupidity. 7,5 of ten The Melancholic Alcoholic.
