Blood Widow (2014)

Laurie and Hugh are a successful young couple who have just closed on a weekend home away from the city. Unbeknownst to them, the neighboring property contains the crumbling remains of a boarding school that was shuttered in the wake of an unspeakable massacre. The sole survivor of that massacre still resides in the ruins of the school, hiding from the world and wanting only to be left alone. When Laurie and Hugh's friends explore the property, they have no idea that they disturbed an emotionally-broken killing machine: The Blood Widow.

Ouch, really... Ouch. Low budget, I get that. Can't afford awesome actors, I get that. More than likely the actors were all friends in college, I get that. BUT WHO THE FUCK WRITES THIS PIECE OF SHIT. Oh my yeezus. The only reason this gets one star is because the villians character design is BAD ASS. It's a shame The Blood Widow had to be in such a shitty movie because she really could have been a fresh new face in horror.

Has some good moments, particularly in its final third, plus a stylish, twisted killer at its core, but the film comes across as rushed and as if the writers just ran out of ideas for its finale, which is a massive shame.

Bad lighting, bad script, nonexistent plot or acting. Gives all other student films a bad name. Still, killer is creepy, deadly and sexy enough to earn herself two stars. Would like to see what she can do in a proper film.

Some decent gore and a solidly creeper slasher character do little to alleviate the overall tedium of this film.
