Blanche Fury (1948)

Penniless governess Blanche Fullerton takes a job at the estate of her rich relations, the Fury family. To better her position in life, Blanche marries her dull cousin, Laurence Fury, with whom she has a daughter. But before long, boredom sets in, and Blanche begins a tempestuous romance with stableman Philip Thorn. Together, they hatch a murderous plan to gain control of the estate.

Well, a nice surprise from a movie I'd never heard of. Some real pathos in this one. No heroes here. It manages to make cruel behavior believable. Dark, gloomy, and headed for bad ends right from the start. Good acting. The only weakness was the plot could have used some tightening.

Over ripe and melodramatic this soap opera is enjoyable in a guilty pleasure sort of way. Granger overdoes it in parts but the settings and Technicolor are beautiful.

wow umn just seen this movie 4 the 1st time n think that this is a good movie 2 watch.....its got a good cast of actors/actressess throughout this movie...i think that valerie hobson, stewart granger, michael gough play good roles/parts throughout this movie......i think that valerie hobson/stewart granger were great throughout this movie.....i think that the director of this drama/classics/thriller movie had done a good job of directing this movie because you never know what 2 expect throughout this movie.....i think that this is a great classics movie its got a good cast throughout this movie...i think that stewart granger is great as the villian of this movie....i think that this is a good movie 2 watch with a good cast throughout this movie
