Big Eyes (2014)

In the late 1950s and early '60s, artist Walter Keane achieves unbelievable fame and success with portraits of saucer-eyed waifs. However, no one realizes that his wife, Margaret, is the real painter behind the brush. Although Margaret is horrified to learn that Walter is passing off her work as his own, she is too meek to protest too loudly. It isn't until the Keanes' marriage comes to an end and a lawsuit follows that the truth finally comes to light.

I loved this movie! It was so amazing by the charming Tim Burton! Amy Adams and Christoph Waltz are spectacular! Margaret Keane is an amazing woman who paints children with sad eyes! See this Oscar worthy amazing cast and wonderful movie!

Sometimes "true" stories are latter revealed as not being so. This movie was not so. Even the real Margaret says she was floored by the accuracy of the actors in the movie. Amy Adams performs with extreme talent and Margaret says, "I don't know how she does it. It was exactly how I felt." The film is very entertaining and appeals to human kind's sense of justice and how wrong of what Walter did to his wife, the true artist. The movie even goes into deep underlying reasons why Margaret was so sad which reflected in her paintings and how the truth eventually made her happy again. Seems like movies these days just don't satisfy audiences like this movie did me.

Fantastic reveal of how human we are, yet with deep self reflection and insight over time, how one can reveal truthfulness to themselves. Beautiful film!

A lie, compliance and the windows to the soul are the elements of this extraordinary true story in which male domination and female repression play key roles

great true story. Just how different she looks from one movie to the other.
