It's a Troma film, so you know you're getting more cheese than a truckload of Velveeta. On the upside: a roving horde of cannibal children, and the occasional bit of not-awful acting, and a hilarious integration of Beowulf into the movie. On the downside: the whole Beowolf thing, terrible acting throughout most of it, and the gore and wacky cannibal kids don't really get rolling until the 2nd half of the flick.

The writers saw fit to needlessly shoehorn a Beowulf allegory into the story, confusing the audience instead of accentuating any parallels (there are none by the way). However, it's worth the wait to slog through the first 80 minutes of footage; the body count soars ridiculously high in the final 5 minutes.

Call me a bad person, but I actually kinda enjoyed it. Don't get me wrong, it's terrible, but good terrible.
