Watched this out of curiosity looked real funny instead it was a romantic comedy with only a few laughs and some annoying performances.

There is a shockingly sweet movie about love and family hidden under the awkward crassness of Barry Munday. Patrick Wilson (a handsome smansome actor I've adored since Hard Candy...which is kinda sick if you've seen that film--but he's great in Watchmen and Little Children and Lakeview Terrace and Morning Glory, right!?!) attempts to schmuggly it up with a goatee as the lustful title character who takes a trumpet to the gonads and is forced to find a world outside of porno tapes. It's a little funny, but like I said, I really enjoyed the sweetness that Munday discovers. Plus, there are several fun minor roles from folks like Malcom McDowell, Missi Pyle, Shea Whigham, Colin Hanks, and Billy Dee Williams. VF.

No imaginen que por tener 4 estrellas, Ã©sta, es una excelente pelÃcula, porque no lo es, pero a pesar se ello, sin ser extremadamente jocosa, me encantÃ³ el mensaje de darse una oportunidad por la vida de un ser que procreaste y "echar pa'lante" a pesar de que el mundo estaba enncontra tuya. Recomendada para aquellos que serÃ¡n padres "tempranos" y aÃºn tienen miedo y se preguntan Â¿quÃ© pasarÃ¡ ahora?... Pues a luchar! Veanla!

Enjoyable and never dull. I think Greer and Sevigny are good actresses, so I liked having them here. Wilson's great too. You really feel sorry for his character Barry here. And McDowell and Whigham are also of course great actors. Not exactly an exciting film, but good, well paced and well executed overall. Worth the watch. Think Hall Pass, but instead of a womaniser getting a free pass off marriage he gets his balls destroyed and removed. Much prefer the UK title 'Family Jewels'.

Romantic comedy with an orignal story ( a guy losing his testicles in an accident!) that manages to steer clear of most clichÃ (C)s associated with the genre, and is supported by a great cast and well written dialogue.
