The Marx Bros what can be said that hasn't already....they are a talented bunch no doubt about it. The film itself wasn't great and the trio wheren't as funny as there where in the other films, but I still enjoyed it...a chuckle here and there. To me I find Groucho the funniest, but Harpo is so clever is his own right, they all compliment each other rather well. There are quite a few good scenes in this film, to me the standout is the midget house scene and the goliath bedroom scene they are a real cracker. All in all not the quinessential Marx Bros film, but in my opinnion well worth a watch, I think buy this stage in their career they had a well oiled machine and kind of lost there early spark from the early 30's....but once again still rather enjoyable...

It's good, pretty much simliar to Go West in humour, and worth seeing, although it does feel abit tired.

One of their weaker efforts to be sure, perhaps their weakest. Worth watching for Lydia the tatooed lady and the final scene, it has little else to recommend it. The love story is painful beyond belief.

I hadn't watched a Marx ( no the other guys) movie in a long time. The kids luved Chaplin's Circus and of course Bugs Bunny aka Groucho should be a winner. The film is uneven and seems like they knocked it out over a weekend. The music is uninspired but the comedy is funny. Some really great physical gags like a real live action Loony Tunes. The verbal comedy is a bit dated (some of the references no one today will get) and rather burlesque. I wonder if the Marx Bros got thier start at more seedy end of Vaudeville? Star Wars fan rivia: a very young Kenny Baker is in this movie.

An enjoyable Marx Bros. movie. Their comedy still works after all these years. When the antics were happening the movie flowed quite well. Unfortunately, the musical portions stop the movie in its tracks. While I do enjoy a good musical, the songs are always my least favorite part of a Marx Bros. movie While Lydia the Tattooed Lady is from this movie, and Groucho is fun to watch during that number, the songs with the tenor are of the style of the time, and choreographed simplistically and poorly that they really date the movie. And Harpo playing the Harp is always fun to see, but that number is a complete tangent to the plot. There is enough funny Marx Bros. here to make it worth the wait through the songs, and you could actually fast forward through them to get to the next scene and not have to worry about missing a plot point; they are that unrelated to the rest of the film. Recommend.
