Eerie, haunting and bizarre with an incredible ending.

Like most early Soviet Propaganda pieces, "Arsenal" is a collage of images with a nearly incoherent plot. Marxist's like their hosts ignorant and impulsive. The anti-German sentiment is fun. The demonic laughter of one German soldier inhaling gas would make Groucho Marx have a field day. Much better than most early soviet propaganda pieces, "Arsenal" is mandatory viewing for anyone that is a fan of film history.

Astonishing imagery, almost non-stop, the story fuzzy except in the broadest terms. Well worth watching.

Artsy movie with decent cinematography for its age and stunning images but there's not much of a story. Probably will be enjoyed only by those who like Ukranian loyalist propaganda films.
