Everyone's quick to blame the alien. - Aeschylus

Area 51 is the perfect example of how not to make a found footage film. The first half of the film is needlessly spend watching the group preparing for their trip to Area 51. This could easily have been done in 15 minutes so quite how it was dragged out to 45 minutes is beyond me as nothing happens at all. The next 20-25 minutes of tedium are spent with the group finally entering and looking around an incredibly poorly secured Area 51 all whilst showing the viewer nothing of interest. Things finally kick-off in the last 20-25 minutes but the camera is so shaky that it's not that easy to tell what is actually happening.

really disappointed you never even get to see the Aliens up close or clearly. also, I'm pretty sure Area 51 would have more than just 5 people working any given night. lastly, anybody who is tresspassing on Area 51 is shot.
