Angels Over Broadway (1940)

Small-time businessman Charles Engle is threatened with exposure for embezzling $3,000 for his free-spending wife. Deciding on suicide, he scribbles a note, stuffs it in his pocket and goes for one last night on the town. He is pulled into a poker game by conman Bill O'Brien and singer Nina Barone, but when they discover the dropped note, they resolve to turn the tables, get Engle his $3,000 and save his life.

A forgotten diamond. A stunning Rita Hayworth, a great morality tale of second chances and redemption that never comes across as pedantic or moralizing.

The film is mildly interesting, in the end somewhat forgettable. Performances are good in a somewhat weak script.

Cinta perfecta para todos los amantes del cine Noir. Un escritor fracasado, un ciÂnico timador y una mujer a punto de caer en la mala vida de la ciudad se reunen alrededor de un hombre que se encuentra a punto del suicidio. Fotografia excelente al igual que las actuaciones.
