Heartbreaking and tragic in so many ways, yet the most powerful film I've seen in a long time. Amy Winehouse was a true artist in every sense of the word and deserves to be remembered because of her talent and legacy, not because of her demons.

Amy is truely an amazing film. A shocking and incredible commemorative look at the talented and young Amy Winehouse. This was a brilliant film honoring and remebering the life of a great artist that left so soon. It was heartbreaking and raw to see so up close into her life and understanding he struggles and battles with becoming a rising star and not knowing how to handle fame. It's really tragic but done so well. It left me with a lot of emotions. The docmentary really makes you understand who she was and almost as if you were on her journey from a child to her rise in fame and the enevitable downfall. Well put together with great interviews and recordings from herself, friends, bodygaurds, producers, family, boyfriends etc. Would absolutely recommend to anybody whether you liked her music or not this is an important documentary about fame, addiction, depression and life in the eyes of a beautiful and talented artist.

I learned so much about the amazing but, tragic life of a "true jazz singer" (Tony Bennet). Some unfortunately are not given to the world for long - we have to appreciate them NOW while they yet live. I feel the video/audio material was balanced and very revealing. Mr. Kapadia did an excellent job of compiling a view without heavy handed bias. Amy is worth viewing before it goes to video,

Beautiful, powerful and heart-breaking, 'Amy' is an outstanding look into the short life of one of the greatest voices of all time. Captivating from start to finish, you simply cannot take your eyes off the screen. We miss you, Amy. A must-see.
