Haven't seen it yet but Freddie Highmore is enough to want me to watch this movie .....seems like another "The art of getting by" which I enjoyed very much!

You can see where this is going from a mile away. What makes it a pleasant film to watch (and it's out now "On Demand") are the leads.

Goldberger’s script hangs on a couple of Big Secrets — his and hers — revealed in the middle acts. And it lives or dies on any sparks the two leads set off, which are few in number.

For all of the mini-melodramas that populate this tale, and the repellent ickiness in the central relationship, the worst part about Almost Friends is how incredibly dull and dramatically inert it is.

I am a fan of Highmore, but everything besides him in this movie was almost a a mess, especially the main actress who acted really bad ( she clearly destroyed the whole thing).
