One thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind's new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai. When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. This is an Earth/ Space movie, so it is fun... but the story is mostly about Courage. One of the best science fiction movies I have seen. Will Smith at his finest, Well Done!

I like the details to Futurism. Father and son get shipwrecked on earth after it had been declared uninhabitable. They need a beacon to be saved and the son must get it cause his dad's legs are broken. Through technology his father helps him through it. Good adventure. Kept my interest.

Absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully acted, thought provoking, intelligently scripted. The critics are completely nut...I will never listen to them again. This movies was unique in its style and design...not the standard reboot of old sci fi...new and different.

I heard so many bad ratings that it took me a while to watch it myself but I'm a Pisces so I'm a dreamer of fantasy world so I gave it a shot & I loved it where my husband a Gemini hated it. After 16 years of marriage who would of thought right but opposites truly are the ones who really make a relationship work.
